Why Censorship Is a Good Thing (No, really!)
What it portends…
Not so many years ago I enjoyed spending a little time on Facebook here and there debating differing political ideas. Over the last decade I had built up a ‘Friend’ base of a little over 3,000 people and it wasn’t difficult to find someone who would engage in intelligent and respectful debate. Of course, when I posted or opined a conservative belief there would always be a few crazies popping their heads up and hurling personal insults, but more often than not I could find Medical Doctors, Corporate Executives, teachers, and other cogent human beings to talk policy with. We could get passionate but remain respectful. I’m not sure I always won these ‘debates’ but I got the feeling people were listening and starting to really think things through…
But over the last several years, this has totally changed. Now, when I post something, I get crickets. No comments, no insults, no friendly jibes of opposition or support… with very few exceptions it is just silence.
I suppose the whole world could have turned against me (is it possible to have bad breath on the internet)? Maybe I’m undergoing a psychotic break and the gibberish I’m typing makes sense only to me? My offline life doesn’t seem to be affected – my communications and relationships in the real world are just fine. So, maybe there’s another answer? What else changed over this same period…
Well, one thing is that Trump became President and the true depth of the swamp was revealed. From the Administrative State (bureaucracies like the State Dept., EPA, etc.) to the Deep State (enforcement agencies like the FBI, CIA, DOJ, etc.) to the corrupt media (both social and mainstream) to the intelligentsia and corporate extortionists (like Blackrock and Vanguard using ESG scoring) the people and groups who have really been running the country have had their corruption exposed. But I’m sure this is all just a coincidence…
Another thing that changed is my political involvement. I set up a Political Action Committee (PRC PAC), started a PRC Facebook page, and established a podcast and a newsletter… Oh yeah, I also wrote a political book that briefly became a #1 Bestseller on Amazon under the category of Globalism. Could this have anything to do with it?
It’s hard to know because I’ve been kept really busy. Even though our PAC and podcast keep growing, and even as our exposure was increasing via supportive radio hosts and successful public events, I realized I must be becoming more unpopular with each passing day… After starting off well, my PRC Facebook page has flatlined and the commercial email service I used for my newsletter and to communicate with my book fans canceled me (Or, at least I think they did – after months of apologizing for inadvertently suspending my account - on multiple occasions - they just stopped sending my emails and refused to communicate with me). Since about mid-2018, when Trump started running for reelection, the craziness has intensified and it’s taking a lot of time and resources - we’ve had to change video and podcast hosting (multiple times), change email services (multiple times), enact multiple social media sites, change merchant accounts (multiple times), and we even offered a free PRC phone app on the Google Play store - but for some reason, we could never get the very same app approved for the Apple Store (or even the same explanation twice for why it wasn’t approved – after a year, we gave up on the app).
A guy could really start feeling down after all that – maybe start really questioning their self-worth… but, Nah… I can’t do that. Lol, I have too healthy an ego to think it’s totally my fault. And besides, I have a whole lot of friends that are weirdly experiencing some of the same things at one level or another. So, maybe… just maybe someone doesn’t want my message to get out?
What could they be scared of? What could little ol’ me have to say that would be so incredibly dangerous to them? I thought of other conservatives I know and follow; many of them have experienced the same trials… But, they’re good people. Each and every one of them. They are not subversive; they’re not calling for violence. To a person, they are calling to peaceably use the elections to restore our country to the formula that has already proven itself successful – a formula of Constitutional law, fair elections, self-reliance, individual freedom, hard work, colorblindness, and restricted government.
So, how could the all-powerful elite that runs everything possibly be afraid of what I have to say?
Unless… unless maybe they’re not so all-powerful? Unless maybe their hold on power is much more tenuous than we imagine? Unless they are not really the majority after all – what if they are actually a small group of evil people intimidating, bribing, and extorting a whole bunch of other people? In that case, maybe they are terrified of the majority waking up? Maybe they have to suppress the truth because when their lies and corruption are exposed, the wrath of the American people will be biblical? Maybe they sense the dam is about to break, and…
Maybe one voice can make all the difference in the world.
