What Is a Political Union?
Another 'Big Idea' whose time has come...

Americans have been incrementally losing our rights for decades – to the point where we are now in danger of losing our constitutional freedoms forever. We are in a dangerous place. We cannot afford to leave our country’s future balanced on a knife’s edge for another decade while we incrementally turn things around. In that spirit, we have written a series of Big Ideas that could circumvent the political gamesmanship and return our Federal Republic to us within years, not decades. This is the latest in that series.
How Does a Politician Get Reelected?
In the article, Why Professional Politicians Don’t Take Voters Seriously, I document the growing divide between the interests of politicians and the voters. A professional politician, by definition, must get reelected – otherwise he or she is no longer of the profession. If we acknowledge this, we must ask the question, “What is the most important aspect of getting reelected?”
For most of our country’s history, you could argue that holding fidelity with a politician’s constituency was of prime importance. In other words, if you campaigned on the idea you would give away free money then that is what you would do to keep your voter base. If you ran on a platform of stronger law and order then while in office you would hire more police, pass stronger laws, etc. But, as mass media became more effective, so did the importance of a politician’s war chest. As long as the sources of big money (corporations and Billionaires) patronized both political parties their influence remained somewhat balanced… but we are now living in a time where those corporations have become multinationals and most Billionaires seem to be focused on Globalism. In other words, a disproportionate percentage of the Big Money available in each election cycle is spent in opposition to the best interests of the American people – giving us elected politicians (of both parties) whose first allegiance is no longer to their voters.
As dire as this sounds, this is not the first time in our country’s history that our professional political class, and the Ruling Class who support them, have run roughshod over the American people. America’s Industrial Revolution was at its high point in the mid-1800s. Big factories and the industrialists who owned them had all the power. They became known as Robber Barons. Their immense wealth overwhelmed our government and any consideration of the people. Work weeks were 10-hour days, 6 and 7 days per week. Wages were so low that even small children were forced to work to support the family. There were no benefits and safety concerns were nonexistent. The people felt powerless.
When workers in the Industrial Revolution were being abused by the Robber Barons, they organized into unions. This gave them the political clout and war chest to force change in government, which in turn, reigned in the abuses of the Robber Barons.
If ever there was a time for the American people to organize against the Professional Political Class and the Ruling Class overlords who control them it is now. We must face the unpleasant realization that our Ruling Class look at the American People the same way the Robber Barons did their workers. Tax codes, healthcare, and overregulation are designed to crush small business and the self-employed – the very people who are the backbone of the middle class. We are accused of being unsophisticated, unenlightened, unimportant, and paranoid… and are made to feel as if we are overwhelmingly outnumbered.
But it is not true.
By far, we are the majority of Americans… and we can learn from history.
We Are Uniquely American
We don’t want to be like Europe, with numerous political parties whose infighting and squabbling always lead to compromising with factions that drag the country ever further into socialism (This is why we cannot support the idea of abandoning the GOP to form a third party).
We don’t want to be like China, with one-party rule that facilitates authoritarianism (this is the direction we are headed if we don’t find a way to counter the influence of globalist dollars).
A Third Party is not the answer and surrendering total control to the Democrats (and their RINO saboteurs) is not an option, so what can we do?
We the People need to organize.
We Need a Political Union
Just as workers organized against management to gain better working conditions, voters need to organize against the management of the Republican Party to demand accountability from our professional political class. We don’t want to destroy or replace the Republican Party; we want to reform it. We want to make it accountable to the voters again. To do this, we need to counterbalance the Big Money and organized efforts of the Ruling Class.
The other side is organized. Generally speaking, the American People are not.
There are 38.8 million Americans registered as Republicans. The Republican National Committee (RNC) runs the GOP and has a structure of committees, precincts, etc. that supposedly give all 38.8 million of us a voice in how our party is being managed… yet the structure is so convoluted and lacking of checks and balances that almost no one understands it – and you get the feeling this is exactly how the establishment wants it. The ‘Good Ol’ Boy’ network is firmly in place in most states and is totally oblivious and immune from the wishes (and the wrath) of the people.
In the Industrial Revolution, workers organized against the corrupt management teams running large companies. Today, we need Republican voters to organize against the elitist establishment teams running the Republican Party. Such a voter’s organization could expose, educate, and inform voters on how to infiltrate and take back the Republican Party from the precinct up (Bottom Up), while member’s dues could be used to fund a war chest to vote-out incumbents who won’t listen to the will of the people and replace them with patriots who will put our country first (Top Down). Imagine if only one million of the 38.8 million Republicans in our country donated just $29 per month (this is anywhere from one-half to one-tenth of a typical labor union’s dues)… over a 24-month Federal election cycle, this would create a $696 million war chest for the next election. Compare that to the $238 million raised by the Mitch McConnell-controlled Super PAC (Senate Leadership Fund) or the $262 million raised by the Kevin McCarthy-controlled Super PAC (Congressional Leadership Fund).
This massive $696 million war chest would act as a counterbalance to the Globalist Ruling Class Establishment’s sledgehammer. In other words, good politicians could feel free to listen to the voices of the voters instead of the dictates of the establishment party leaders like McCarthy and McConnell – and by the way… if you’re not convinced they need counterbalancing, read about how McCarthy spent his PAC’s money HERE and how McConnell spent his HERE (If this is the first you are hearing of this, please resist the urge to throw things).
This Top-Down Bottom-Up strategy by a voter’s organization is exactly what our country needs and there is already one such organization in place – Primary the Ruling Class. Primary the Ruling Class (PRC) is a fledgling grassroots organization already making big waves. Its podcasts and affiliated newsletters (like this one), combined with its sophisticated data systems (including informational archives and SMS/texting communications tools) have given it outsized influence and reach. PRC leaders are frequently sought out for radio and podcast interviews, to help organize and promote election integrity symposiums, and to run for public and Republican Party offices in their various communities and precincts. Our educational outreach programs have inspired significant community participation and political activism for City, County, and School Board issues.
Primary the Ruling Class’s Top-Down approach is centered around its Super PAC (PRC PAC) where donations can be used to campaign for or against candidates for Federal Office both in the General and Primary Elections.
It is time for Americans to organize against the Professional Political Class. Being a professional politician doesn’t make a person evil, but the massive temptations and extortions being used by evil forces mean we can no longer just elect someone and put our heads down, hoping for the best. We need to hold our elected official’s feet to the fire…
We are not aware of other organizations like Primary the Ruling Class, but we believe they must exist. We would like you to join us – but at least join a similar-minded organization (or, start one of your own). The time for blissful ignorance is long past. It is our patriotic duty to be educated, to be informed, and to be involved.
